Phalanx Family Services adult division provides employment readiness, vocational training, job placement, crisis prevention, and wrap-around supportive services to populations 24 years and older. Our goal for adults is to guide them into long-term employment, in high growth industries, with wages that support their families. Our crisis assistance help avert housing displacement, utility disconnection and provide funds for daily living needs.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
Administered by the Illinois Department of Human Services, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP is a short-term, subsidized employment training program designed to help you to become more employable through On-the-Job Work Experience, Vocational Training, and work and life Readiness classes.

TANF Work First Program
Work First is designed to help TANF clients who live in Cook County and who have multiple barriers, gain the training and skills they need to become employed and to retain employment.
Adults in Cook County who receive TANF, have been unsuccessful in other employment and training programs, and may have multiple barriers that prevent them from gaining and/or retaining employment.

Chicago Housing Authority
Chicago Housing Authority provides direct employment placement services for individuals who have work experience and who need immediate referral assistance to direct employment opportunities. CHA supports several programs dedicated to helping residents begin a job or advance their career.

The Community Development Block Grant is a industry specific training program offered through the Department of Family and Support Services and provides training, job placement, and retention services to low and moderate income Chicagoans.
This program offers access to a variety of workforce services for under-served adults, including assistance with customized training, job search, and job placement.

AWI = Advocate Workforce Initiative
The Advocate Aurora partnership is aimed at enhancing the alignment between addressing available healthcare jobs and the skills of current job seekers in the greater Chicagoland area by creating a pipeline of prepared, industry-qualified workforce ready candidates to secure employment with Advocate.

Ticket to Work Program
The Ticket to Work program is an employment opportunity for people with disabilities who are interested in going to work.
The goal of the Ticket Program is to increase opportunities and choices for Social Security disability beneficiaries to obtain employment, vocational rehabilitation (VR), and other support services from public and private providers, employers, and other organizations.
